Advocacy Intern


General Information

Students who are passionate about suicide prevention and motivated to enact community change are invited to apply for an internship with Rattle the Stars.  You’ll gain valuable skills to grow professionally, and you’ll learn how to better support people experiencing suicide.

Interns may work in any of our service areas:

  • suicide prevention consultation
  • suicide prevention education and training
  • advocacy
  • school and community engagement
  • community events
  • comfort dog

Interns (depending on position) may gain experience with:

  • administrative support
  • data entry and analysis
  • research and writing
  • program development
  • client recruitment
  • project development
  • locating resources and services
  • event planning
  • campaign management
  • fundraising and donor management
  • communications and social media support
  • supporting people experiencing suicide

Positions are unpaid, but we will help you obtain course credit.
